IOM and MSP side event (#1620)
On Tuesday 6 December at 18:15, the Blue Solutions Initiative and the Mami Wata Project welcome you to a side-event on Integrated Ocean Management (IOM) and Marine Spatial Planning (MSP) for healthy oceans and sustainable development.
The event will share knowledge and experiences on the potential of IOM and MSP for sustainable development in the coastal and marine realm.
During this session, findings of a joint study by UNEP and GEF-STAP on Marine Spatial Planning in Practice as well as practical experiences will be presented, and practitioners will discuss challenges and solutions towards effective planning efforts from different regions and contexts. Finally, existing capacity development formats for decision-makers and practitioners around MSP will be highlighted.
Panorama side Event (#1616)
Let´s not keep reinventing the wheel but learn from each other´s successes in the management and governance of biodiversity and natural resources!
On Friday 9 December at 18:15, the PANORAMA partnership invites you for a side event on the recently launched Panorama online platform, which currently hosts three thematic portals, and is envisioned to expand continuously with new partners and solutions from further topics.
During the side event, participants will learn about PANORAMA and its different formats around knowledge sharing, presented by the providers themselves. In a facilitated discussion, participants and solution providers can discuss how challenges are addressed in different regions and contexts, and experience the benefits of such a mutual exchange.

Sustainable Ocean Night
On Monday 5 December in the Moon Palace Hotel, from7-9 pm, the Sustainable Oceans Initiative (SOI) and Blue Solutions jointly convene the Sustainable Ocean Night. Ministers of the parties and high-level representatives celebrate successes, share inspiring approaches and solutions for saving the health of marine and coastal ecosystems.
