After five eventful years, the Blue Solutions project is in its final year of implementation and will come to an end in late 2018. To ensure the long-term availability, implementation and adaptation of the Blue Training Courses*, a workshop dedicated to “The art of convening Blue Training Courses” was conducted in June 2018. The workshop was jointly organized by the Blue Solutions Initiative, the Mami Wata Project, the MARISMA Project and convened in collaboration with the Sustainable Ocean Initiative (SOI) of the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). Training on Marine Spatial Planning in the Benguela Current region

The Blue Solutions Initiative continues the successful cooperation with the MARISMA project in the Benguela Current region: after jointly developing the introductory video on Marine Spatial Planning  (MSP), the two projects have now convened a Blue Planning in Practice (BPiP) training on MSP. From 16 to 20 October  2017, 20 practitioners, academics and regional capacity development organization representatives from Angola, Namibia and South Africa participated in the BPiP training in Walvis Bay, Namibia.
