MARINE BIODIVERSITY – CREATING & EXCHANGING SOLUTIONS FOR OUR BLUE WORLD
Project partners from 11 current IKI projects promoting sustainable management and conservation of marine and coastal ecosystems in Latin America, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region will share with you their contributions to the Aichi targets and the 2050 Vision for Biodiversity.
The IKI invites you to join us and learn about IKI project experiences, discuss shared solutions for common challenges and to work together on new activities for sustaining our oceans.
Part I: Flashlight presentations & interactive panel session
High-level presenters will reflect on different themes covered by the IKI marine projects in Asia-Pacific, Latin America-Caribbean and Africa, including community-based mangrove management and the linkage between coasts and high seas.
Part II: Archipelago session
An informal gathering around posters (‘islands’) with marine IKI project representatives to exchange around current activities and project results.
